Beach
The campsite is located at Balaruc-les-Bains, a spa and seaside
resort at the shore of the Etang de Thau, a very large salt lake
in connection with the Mediterranean. The beach is 3 km from the
campsite, close to the centre of the village. Swimming, sailing,
diving and fishing without fishing license are permitted (coastal
waters).
The Mediterranean is about 10 km away and we can show you beaches
without traffic jam or parking problems, with lots of space for
sunbathing and fun for children, who can have a good time collecting
shells. There are shingle beaches too for those who dislike sandy
beaches, or on windy days. Even nudist beaches are available for
fanciers…

Swimming pool
There is a free swimming pool on the campsite, with a baby pool,
sun terrace and deck chairs (the swimming pool is closed in low
season: look for the dates on the tariff).

Kids Club
The kids club is free of charge from Monday till Friday in high
and very high season (look for the dates on the tariff) for children
between 4 and 12 years old. In the morning we play games, in the
afternoon we start with calm manual activities and later we go on
with sports for the older kids.

Sports
At the end of the afternoon, during high and very high season (look
for the dates on the tariff) there are tournaments of boules-game,
table-tennis, volley-ball, badminton, half-court tennis …

Evening entertainment
During high and very high season (look for the dates on the tariff)
we organise once a week a dance party up to midnight, in order to
preserve the sleep of the campers.

Youth
The campsite and the neighbourhood have little entertainment to
offer to the youth. Most of our customers are families with young
children or people with older children who don't travel any more
with their parents, who fancy quiet holydays.

Barbecue
There is no collective barbecue on the campsite. Campers may use
their own barbecue, provided it is at least 50 cm above the ground
and only charcoal will be used. Liquid firelighters, kindling's,
twigs, pinecones or any other flaming materials are strictly forbidden.
Only solid firelighters are permitted. The barbecue should be placed
at a distance from trees and shrubs and must be watched by an adult
with a bucket of water at hand. A bottle would not do. With high
wind no barbecue is allowed, because too dangerous. The prohibition
is put on the notice board near the reception. In case of doubt,
please question the reception, because weather conditions in the
Balaruc area are such that a fierce wind can rise in the course
of the day. A breach of these rules may result in an immediate expulsion
from the campsite.

Payments
MAESTRO and ELECTRON cards may be accepted at the campsite for amounts
of 30 €uro's at least, but they are not valid for settlement
of the deposit for the booking.
